We woke up in Pennsylvania and quickly loaded and said goodbye to Tricia and her family.  She called us about 10 minutes later and I knew it would not be good.  We had  forgotten our garment bag hanging in the closet--can I tell you....worst job on the trip is "final inspector"  No rewards and you get barked at if you discover anything got left.  I declared Bryan "final inspector" for all future days!  We took the next freeway exit, went back to Tricia's and then finally got on the road--late.  We drove for 2 hours through PA to NJ to Connecticut. There Bryan had a breakfast business meeting w/ Jeff.  He had thought it would last about an hour, but it was 2 1/2 hours before we were back on the road. (I know...I know....this is the whole purpose for the trip, so we weren't upset, but it set back our schedule for the whole day).  Me and the kids went to  Starbucks and McDonald's and then waited in the parking lot.  We were running late and still had a 3 hr drive thru Rhode Island to Massachusetts.  There Bryan had his second meeting of the day w/ Jonathan.  The kids and I grabbed lunch at a Deli and then hung out for a little while in  Lowe's while they dreamed of all the painting and redecorating they would do to their bedrooms if allowed. 45 min. more driving and we finally arrive in Boston.

It was raining, and about 6 pm so we parked car and did Faneuil Market. The kids enjoyed watching a street performer who was a juggler.  We ate dinner at Durgins Park--I don't think that I would recommend it.  We had Boston baked beans, chowder, fish and chips, and yankee pot roast.  We walked shops a little--bought tea to put ito harbor  (Annie)  and did a quick drive around Harvard--it was not as impressive of a campus as I thought it would be and traffic was yucky.  Bryan was beyond tired mentally and physically, so we headed to our hotel.

This time we stayed @ Homestead Suites and the kids really liked it.  Dinner is included plus breakfast in the morning. Breakfast included waffles with strawberries and whip cream, sausage, egg, typcial muffins, toasts, yogurt, oatmeal, juice and came on real plates--that's a first.  The room also had a kitchen. Annie and James walked to the CVS and bought top ramen and cooked it up--just because they could.
